Dense ruby/purple with fleshy black cherry and black currant fruit, some licorice and incense, this opulent, medium to full-bodied wine displays terrific purity, a subtle dosage of background oak, and earth. Maybe even a hint of truffle can be found in this complex, high-class Pomerol to drink over the next 20 years. This is a beauty and another great example of what heights Pomerol achieved in this vintage. (RP, 4/2015)
