The Massolino 2019 Moscato d'Asti is packaged with a real cork and the elegant label design that is a signature of this terrific boutique winery in Serralunga d'Alba. The wine pours from the bottle with extra soft, rich foam that lasts long and clings to the sides of your glass. The bouquet is delicate and elegant, with stone fruit and lemon blossom, but it's minus some of the more overt saccharine perfumes that you see in its more commercial peers. This wine is beautifully downplayed and subtle, with hints of white mineral and wild sage. Some 35,000 bottles were produced. (ML 7/2020)
